On April 12 2008 the Kettle Karvers Klub held our 18th Annual "Artistry in Wood" Show. It
was a cool and breezy day unless you stood outside for about 5 minutes then it was cold,
snowy and windy. The Municipal building had a nice steady flow of visitors walking through
out the day so there was an easy. We had various demos through out the day and a kids
carve where 15 young carvers took their first steps in this hobby. The kids all worked on a
Christmas tree and there was no blood on any of the carvings when they were done. Super
job kids.
Pam Moir was our Featured Carver this year and she also won the Peoples Choice Award.
Congratulations Pam. Below is Pam with some of her gnomes that, from what I heard,
enjoyed the show.
Below is Klaus Zunker (left) who is accepting the Best
of Show Plate from Travis Wick.
Below Bill Detloff gives a demonstration on wood burning.
The carving below was the best in the Master division.
These birds were carved by Tom Marker.
